Primal Food and Spirits – Durham

Last Wednesday I was fortunate enough to enjoy a delicious lunch with some beautiful ladies in Durham for #foodiefriendsday

Durham is a amazing foodie city that I really need to explore more often, so I was very happy when I found out where we were heading to.

I hadn’t heard about Primal Food and Spirits before then, so I was eager to find out what the excitement was all about. To my surprise I found it to be underrated. I couldn’t believe I hadn’t heard about this place.

Pictured below is my Chicken Stir Fry. I really can’t wait to go back. I had a hard time ordering because everything on the menu sounded amazing. I don’t think you can go wrong at this place!

1. The foods are flavorful

2. This place is completely gluten free. Yes, you read that right. Completely gluten free, leaving no room for cross contamination.

3. The service was AMAZING

And there’s more…

This is a little excerpt I found on their website. And I do attest to it:

“Primal is about getting back to the basics and eating as our ancestors did, offering unprocessed, home grown foods, served unpretentiously. You can literally taste the delicious difference when you bite into a piece of pasture-raised meat that was cooked over a wood fire. It gives the meat that light, smoky natural flavor simply not found with alternative cooking methods. At Primal, we work tirelessly to ensure that everything coming out of our kitchen showcases the fresh ingredients we are using from our local farmer partners. Farm-to-Fire-to-Fork. That is our way. That is Primal.”

Primal, I will be back. Thank you for an amazing time.
